Raleigh, N.C.-based developer MJM Group has announced it will open a new, 188-room, dual-brand hotel in Charlotte under the Marriott name. The facility will consist of a 94-room Courtyard by Marriott, and a 94-room Marriott Residence Inn. It will be managed by St. Louis-based Midas Hospitality.
Construction of the seven-story, $45 million facility is slated to begin in September 2016. It will be located at 9110 Harris Corners Parkway, Charlotte, NC, and offer flexible event options for medical groups and other organizations. The property will include dining, two patio areas with an outdoor pool, a large fitness room, and meeting space. It’s expected to use alternative energy technology and provide charging stations for electric cars.
Plans are for construction to be complete in March 2018. MJM Group also is building the new Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlotte Airport, which is expected to open in October 2016.
