New Joplin Holiday Inn is on the way

Construction kicks off this week on a brand new, 115-room Holiday Inn in Joplin, Mo.

The property is expected to offer exciting new prefunction and conference options for medical and other meeting groups.  There will be 3,500 square feet of event space, accommodating up to 350 guests; the facility also will feature an outdoor patio, indoor saltwater pool, large fitness center, lounge, and full service restaurant.

The hotel is set for completion in 2017.  It will be located at 3402 S. Arizona.

The area also is home to the brand new, 600,000-square-foot Mercy Hospital Joplin.
